Patrons,
Well, it has been quite some time.
A lot has happened behind-the-scenes with Feather & Hide over the past couple of months. As you well know, we strive to keep you informed on the ins and outs of the young company, and boy do we have some updates.
But first, let's talk about what this is you’re reading.
Welcome to the “Sunday Letter”.
I am going to try something new here; I will attempt to send out updates every couple of weeks. Call it a “Newsletter” or a “Blog” or whatever makes you happy. No matter what, I just want to keep y’all involved in the growth of the company as much as I can.
Fair warning, these will be quite candid so just imagine we are having a conversation together over a beer…
We are in our third year of operation, and at this point we are starting to stand up on our feet. Just think of a baby horse taking its first couple of steps…
Standing upright, but a little wobbly.
Frankly, a lot has been happening behind the scenes.
The compounding effects of moves, the return to a day job, unexpected family death, and on a brighter note, a wedding, bear a heavy toll on daily organization.
It’s been a lot, but that is what life has in store for us at this stage.
In the past couple of weeks, we have gained our balance and have reoriented towards the goal to revive the classic culture of golf. You will begin to see more structured content on our socials, increased engagement, and hopefully more golf. Plus, we just received our largest shipment of inventory in late June.
It’s an odd, yet not uncommon circumstance we are in currently: high demand, low inventory. In order to combat this situation, we had to stretch ourselves fairly slim. At some point you have to take the leap of faith, right?
Well, we did. We placed an order for the largest amount of Feather & Hide inventory to this date.
You bet your fine arse I have bitten my nails down to the nubs.
This late summer and early fall will see a handful of new fan-favorite releases, including new colors of The Honours, The Starter and The Ranger (drops tonight in fact).
Hooray!
Listen, there is no precedent for how long these letters need to be, so I’ll keep you on your toes. Hopefully you continue on this journey with us, we’re glad you have read this far.
Go Low,
Lou
